Onyx is confirmed for the red/black factor and Agouti gene (Ee Heterozygous). This means she is black based but carries a recessive copy of the red gene. She tested aa non-Agouti. When a horse is black based (E), black pigment will be evenly distributed.
Onyx has been tested for Coat and Pattern Testing and she is LP/LP - homozygous, which means she carries two copies of the Appaloosa LP gene. She is n/PATN1 - heterozygous, which means she carries one copy of the PATN-1 gene mutation.
